The Curb Appeal Checklist To Run Before You List Your Home
Estate agents photograph the front of your house first. Here are the exterior jobs that make the biggest difference before the camera arrives.
Buyers form an opinion of your home in the first few seconds of the listing photo. Before the photographer books in, work through this list.
1. Roofline
White uPVC fascias and soffits go grey-green long before anyone notices. Cleaning them back to white sharpens the whole frontage and takes a couple of hours.
2. Glass, frames and sills
Cleaning glass alone leaves grubby frames on show in every photo. A full pure-water clean of glass, frames and sills reads as a well-kept house.
3. Driveway and path
The largest single surface in most front-of-house photos. Rotary cleaning and re-sanding block paving removes years of algae and black spotting.
4. Render and brickwork
Green staining under gutters or on the north side dates a property instantly. A softwash treatment lifts it without damaging the surface.
5. Front garden
Edged lawn, cut hedge and weed-free borders. It costs little and it frames everything else.
Doing it in one visit
Booking these separately means multiple trades and multiple mornings at home. Our Curb Appeal Package covers the front of the property in a single visit, and you can extend it to front and rear if the garden is in shot too.
Use the price calculator to see what your property would come to, then book the visit for a week before the photos.
